What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register with us for a support group, workshop or training session or sign up for our newsletter. We also collect information when you provide feedback about our charity, send an enquiry via our web form, or take part in research opportunities. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

How will we use information about you?

We collect information about you to enable us to do the work of the charity and to enable us to meet our charitable aims and objectives. The information that you give us enables you to enrol onto our support groups and workshops; it enables you to take part in research opportunities; and to send you updates in the form of newsletters and/or updates on how your donations have been spent.

If you have registered for a support group or workshop, we may use the information you give us when you register to send you a feedback form or follow up an incident in line with our safeguarding policies.

We process your information via our own website, and via our third-party processing partners. These partners enable us to offer ticketing, surveying, newsletter and fundraising functions. The third-party processing partners we use are: Eventbrite (ticketing), Salesforce (support group registration), SurveyMonkey (impact surveys), MailChimp (newsletters) and JustGiving (donations).

We use your information collected from the website to personalise your repeat visits to our website.

Stand Alone Charity will not share your information with any other third-party without seeking explicit prior consent to do so, unless an incident occurs that requires us to do so as part of our safeguarding policies and procedures.

The data that we hold about you is processed and stored securely, and in accordance to EU legislation.

Fundraising

We update people about our fundraising activities via our newsletter.

With consent, we send interested parties information about our fundraising campaigns as part of our newsletter. If you have consented to receive communications around our fundraising campaigns, which are included in our newsletter, you may opt out at a later date.

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you, to change it or to request that it be deleted at any time.
