We’re looking for research participants who are estranged from their family or key family member. This means you could be estranged from a single sibling, many siblings, a child, all your children, one parent, both parents, or your entire extended family. Although we carry out much of our work in the UK, we’re interested in hearing from people worldwide.
There is currently a lack of comprehensive academic research into family estrangement and its impact, and thus we hope to create research to qualify the impact on different aspects of physical and mental health as well as other relationships.
We hope to use findings from forthcoming research to better inform front-line staff and policy makers, as well as raise awareness in the media about family estrangement. We will be partnering with academic institutions and research agencies, and will be creating studies that operate online as well as face to face.
If you’re interested in taking part in studies of this kind, please fill in your details below:
All information submitted on this form is treated confidentially and is only used by staff at Stand Alone. However, we may pass on opportunities to you that have been generated in partnership or collaboration with external academic research institutions and partners.
